The short version: this site runs on a couple of cookies that remember your choices and count visits. Same setup whether you read the menu, the poker page or this one. Each one's listed below.
What this site actually stores
Not much. Two cookies and one small browser note, and none of them know your name.
The banner memory
Tap "Sounds good" on the cookie banner and your browser saves a small note so we don't ask again next visit. Strictly necessary: it's the thing that stops the banner nagging you.

Page stats
A basic counter that tells us which pages get read: whether people check the poker night times, the Sunday menu or the card-room page on a wet Thursday. Anonymous tallies, nothing personal.

- Mostly so we spot a dead page faster
Session bits
Open the booking form and a session cookie keeps it behaving while the tab is open. Close the tab and it's gone, like a poker hand that never got dealt.

What we don't do with cookies
Most cookie policies run long because the site is up to a lot. Ours stays short because there's not much to confess: a restaurant with a card room doesn't run an ad network.
- No ad trackers, so nothing follows you off this site. Browse the poker page today and you won't get poker ads tomorrow.
- No selling data — there's nothing worth selling anyway: a visit count and a banner tick.
- No third-party bits phoning home: no social buttons, no tracking pixels, no embedded feeds.
- No fingerprinting. We don't stitch your device, screen size and visit times together to work out who you are.

If that ever changes (say we add a map embed or a stats tool that does more), this page gets rewritten before it goes live, not after.
How the cookie banner works
It shows once, a couple of seconds after the page loads. Tap the button and it remembers, and that's the whole trick.
One button, no toggle maze, because there's nothing optional to switch off. Whether you came for the poker night info or the wine list, the banner treats you the same.

First visit, it pops up in the corner after a short pause, long enough for you to see the page first.

Your browser saves a note saying you've seen it. That note is all it stores: no name, no email, nothing about you.

Next visit it checks for the note, finds it and stays hidden. Poker pages, menu pages, this page: one tap covers the whole site.
Managing cookies
Your browser is in charge here, not us. Every browser lets you block or wipe cookies, and the site still works either way.
If this policy changes
We rewrite this page when the site changes: new tools, new cookies, or fewer of them. Anything worth knowing gets said plainly up top, not buried in clause 14(b).
- Typos and clearer wording get fixed quietly on this page.
- New cookies or tools get added to the list above before they go live.
- Anything bigger, say counting poker page visits a different way, gets flagged on the homepage banner too, not just here.
